Looks like we getting glue today boys! XD
read the room. it's not necessary to be an arsehole
What are you talking about?
Amane has too many issues
No kidding. I'm tired of the needless drama.
Well for better drama, try this new dounghou I'm watching: Huang Yan (Face on Life) it's like a enjoyable soap opera.
Lie no life
Amane is the embodiment of issues. His refusal to listen or even at least try is infuriating.
True
Well, its not like he doesn't have reasons, everything he said was basically true. There are way too many rules and most of them useless for a jockey to follow. How are those rules even going to help Amane become a better jockey?
We all saw what happened a few episodes ago when Kirarin's jokey chose to ignore the orders from the lady. As the instructor said: a jokey doesn't work by itself. There is the horse owner, the training team, the sponsors, their employer and, when they are not the employer, the stable owner. The jockey's employer job is to make sure their interest, the sponsor's and the horse owner interests all align and communicate to the jockey the best way to do achieve that. The horse's trainers and care givers need to be heard to make sure all is well. The point is: if you can't even follow simple rules (even if you see them as useless), how can anyone expect you to follow an order you disagree with?
Amaneโs father have some great English lol
Like father like son. XD
It's sad that Kisuke lied to Shun which eventually makes him lose his ability to hear horses' voices, hopefully it's only a temporary thing but the timing couldn't be worse especially after Miku questions his ability with such anger. I knew it was going too well but didn't think the resulting consequence for overlooking Kisuke's leg would be like this.
Interesting how Asahi retired quickly because he didn't feel anything in his heart as a jockey when he won, he has some passion when it comes to his student so it's a little surprising but good thing he found his rightful place in the end.
I don't understand how could Kisuke die from a leg problem? Why couldn't Shun figure out that his leg hurt and why couldn't they predict that the weather was going to bring lightning?
They had to put Kisuke down because he couldn't use his leg anymore, it's fairly common with animals.
It's implied that Kisuke lied to Shun because he wanted to race, so Shun feels guilty for not being able to discern the truth and giving the okay to the owner.
Sometimes freak storms just happen, there wasn't lightning before the race started so it was too late to cancel. Plus the lightning was more for dramatic effect than anything lol.
When horses break their legs, especially badly, they're put down...period.
Time for another dosage of CGI horses and drama!
3 episodes to go!
More drama then horse racing tho
Yep, pretty much. I feel bad for Yuu's VA, Shougo Yano. He was Mafuyu in Given, and his talent here is WASTED!!!
Look, this is 100% on the owner of the stable, and she knows it. She put WAY too much faith in Shun's voodoo when she had reasonable doubt about that leg. She should have gotten it properly examined.
sh!t's gotten serious, hope best for Shun
welp another heavy episode
It seems like anime production companies are focusing on character developments with sports anime. I'm fine with it but I wanted for characters to win somewhat. Mos especially this has no manga.
Also, When Mr. Old man looked up at the end, I was like, "Shun is just praying."
Damn those first 20 seconds after the OP made me read the comments to stop this uneasiness. It didn't ... don't kill animals in front of me PLEASE
If you're wondering why race horses are euthanized when they break a leg,ย this article explains it.
That aside, holy shit, I wasn't expecting them to actually kill off Kisuke! I mean, the death flags were there, especially when they talk about the coming race being his last and all but still, that was quite shocking
I am aware of the issues around treating a broken leg in racehorses, but basically it's because they can't race anymore and cost more than they're worth. But in this case Kisuke was going into retirement. It's possible to treat a broken leg, but requires specialised treatment. I just feel the owners weren't willing to pay for the medical bills
Oh dear..
Shun lost his hearing ability?
Just last week I said something like "Trainer Shun?" and now this happened
Kisuke, rest in peace. Gone but never forgotten Shun must feel responsible for Kisuke's death, and he is now losing his ability to communicate with the horses.
Working out his problems with rules to his advantage is such an amane thing to do.
my question is: what sort of leg injury did Kisuke have that merited him being put down? Tendon injuries and even broken bones are able to be treated. If horses can't race anymore it is common for injured racehorses to be put down, but in this case he was supposed to go into retirement... unless owners weren't willing to pay for the treatment...
Like seriously. F*ck this sh*t. I'm dropping this anime like the stinky turd it is.
I feel bad for Shun. Being overconfident with his ability is what lead him to this result.
Lmao why does Amane's dad have better British accent and English pronunciation than the son :'D
Kinda funny how Amane's English accent sounds more foreign whereas his dad has a proper English accent lol...
Hala putikkkk ang gwapooo๐๐maghanap na din ako ng black na cat baka ma swerte ako๐๐คญ

Wait did the Horse died????
Im confused ๐ฅ did they kill kisuke in the end because he failed at the race?
As a Kentuckian, and long ago an avid Horse racing follower, I'm well aware what happens to thoroughbreds who suffer serious injuries to their leg...For those who say its inhumane to euthanize them, I beg to differ. A horse, even those put out to pasture must rely on ALL 4 of their legs working in the best proximal condition. It would be inhumane NOT to put them to rest.
RIP, "Kisuke"...Shun-kun, I'm worried about ya, bud... ๐
Why did Kuske die? He was injured in the leg, wasn't he? Could not handle it? Did I miss something? Why did a leg injury cause him to die ?? ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐๐
And poor Shub, it seems to me he's over now a complex that is somehow also related to his past ... ๐ I hope he's fine ...
Oof, I'll really miss Kuske, I can 't believe he's dead ... ๐ข๐
ANY TIME a horse breaks their legs, especially badly, they're put down...period. ๐
KISUKEEEEEEE!!! ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
bruh
i think, this is one of the most realistic episode, which shows how horrific this industry is, too young horses, (here not shown) terrifying training methods and horses which are just dumped after one injury - japan has one of the largest horse- slaughterhouse and meat industry in the world, moreover mostly imported from the u.s. racing market
this is what the horses earn after some glory, only a few very famous, can retire in the way we think of
F*ck this sh*t. They aren't willing to be realistic AT ALL in regards training a beginner horse rider and how long it takes to learn how to ride... but suddenly for the sake of drama they are going super realistic and dark by euthanising a horse.
Kisuke being killed is probably the sadest moment we have seen in this anime, plus Shun losing his horse whispering abilities just made this even sadder.
Rip Kisuke, had a feeling something was going to happen to his leg. Shun took a hard hit from it, since he thinks it was his fault about whether Kisuke actually wanted to race. Maybe he lost his ability to understand the horses at the end shown by those glowing things slowly disappearing
